Speaker P.Audio SW-8C is a weather-protected medium format sound reinforcement system. The cabinet is made from a single-piece rotatable UV-resistant polyethylene cover. The enclosure features a 35mm pole mount socket for mounting to the top of a standard speaker pole. The cabinet design was switched to support low-frequency extension and the 8-inch speaker was loaded to achieve a higher SPL than was possible. Inside the cabinet, there are 5 built-in truss points, which can be used in conjunction with the included U-Bracket kit for wall or ceiling mounting. When pole mounting is required, an optional Pole Mount Kit can be purchased. The grill is made from CNC perforated steel and is coated with a zinc-rich, UV-resistant double-layer powder coating. The 8-inch woofer features a treated cone pulp to resist water and dry rot. High energy ferrite magnetism ensures high SPL for maximum coverage from a small system. The high-frequency driver is mounted in front of the woofer with a large mouthpiece. This allows the compression driver to be passed at lower frequencies to maintain full sample control over the entire frequency spectrum. The SW-8C is well suited for outdoor environments where a reliable, weatherproof system is required. Line matching transformers allow connection to high voltage lines to minimize cable losses during long cable runs, further enhancing system usability.
